I know there has been a lot of discussion regarding tank odor on the SENTOA forum. My wife got so she resisted using marinas because of the looks we got from slip mates after flushing the head.

I was about to try one of the solutions recommended in the forum until I came across an article in Practical Sailor about the Big Orange Tank Filter. I’m not sure Big Orange was previously offered as a solution.

The features I liked were the elimination of chemicals, easy refill of charcoal, and built in by-pass valve that prevents tank damage. Bottom Line: For $145 CAD no more smell, guaranteed. Easy to install, (about 45 minutes). Below are a couple pictures of my installation.
